As an IT trainer for young people, you sometimes struggle with the demotivation of students.
Especially when you have to look after 12 of them every day. Given this problem, I wanted to create something that would make it fun for my trainees to learn more about IT and practice important soft skills.
These thoughts led to the creation of CyberSiege. A card game with the aim of showing my trainees important concepts of computer science, hacking, cyber security and more. Together with the training of important soft skills such as team communication, coordination and “thinking outside the box”, CyberSiege is designed to slowly introduce beginners to IT.
Each card in this physical card game has a real background from computer science. But you are not forced to deal with it if you want to play CyberSiege. Since all the IT content is just the names on the cards, the trainees have to do their own research. In my experience as a trainer for many years, this is the best way to challenge sustainable learning.
The aim of CyberSiege is to create an environment in which trainees can engage with content themselves because they want to. Together with a planned AR application, learning cyber security is made even easier.
Follow me on my journey and maybe you would like to support me in my planned Kickstarter campaign. I would really appreciate your constructive feedback and opinions!
